Brunch etc.
blueberries and raspberries and a spoonful of cod liver oil. A bit
later I had half a hot dog in bun (no sauce), and one third of a slice
of bread with cheese, plus a few berries.
Yesterday's Lunch & Dinner
This was a fairly light meal. I had a couple of cafe au laits with 2%
milk during the day.
Dinner: A whole wheat bun with regular chicken salad from our
neighborhood pret a manger, and about 5 sausage rolls.

Breakfast
plain yogurt, a medium portion of Kashi crunchy goodness and two
handfuls of blueberries. Also a regular coffee with a bit of cream
(milk was out) and a spoonful of cod liver oil.
As a mid-morning snack I had a cafe au lait 2% milk.

Breakfast & Lunch
milk, spoonful of cod liver oil.
Morning snack: Cafe au lait 2% milk.
Lunch: 8 pieces of dim sum plus a small custard pastry for dessert.
This was a somewhat large portion and it's pretty greasy food.
Afternoon snack: Cafe au lait 2% milk. One more piece of dim sum.

Dinner
of cheese, 3 Brazil nuts and 3-4 cherries.
Breakfast to Lunch
(2 cups), spoonful of cod liver oil, and about 100 kcal worth of
cashew brittle.
Lunch: A palm-sized portion of very healthy (browned and baked)
chicken breast with small portions of brown rice and baked broccoli
and sweet potato; also about 1/4th of a slice of bread with cheese,
and half a spoonful of organic peanut butter.
Snack: Cafe au lait, 1% milk.

and a spoonful of cod liver oil.
Mid-morning snack: Cafe au lait 1% milk.
Lunch: Chicken and chickpea roti wrap served with salad. A bit fatty
and the portion maybe slightly too large.
Afternoon snack: Cafe au lait 1% milk.
Dinner: Fish cakes with lime aioli, spinach, tomato salad and fork
mash potatoes. The portion was quite large so I decreased it by
skipping most of the potatoes.

All of today (but accurate)
milk, and a spoonful of cod liver oil.
Mid-morning snack: Cafe au lait, 1% milk.
Lunch: Chow mein noodles with shrimp and pork and sauteed vegetables.
Average-sized portion.
Afternoon snack: Cafe au lait, 1% milk.
Dinner: A wheat bun with ham and cheese, a banana, a cup of 2.5%
milkfat yoghurt, and probably 100 kcal of the horribly delicious
cashew brittle :(
A weekend of food diary twilight
dinner (a little over half of a couple of not-so-healthy appetizers
and a large steak with some mashed potatoes), 5 beers, 3 other drinks,
a slice of pizza and some french fries. All in all this is what
Saturday as a "free" day is for, although this was on the heavy end of
the spectrum.
Sunday: Regular breakfast, a fairly regular lunch, a heavy afternoon
snack (probably 450 kcal of some cashew brittle), a wheat bun with ham
and cheese for dinner, a small portion of popcorn and a large portion
of peanut M&M's for an evening snack. This is _not_ what Sundays are
supposed to be like.

Lunch
Mid morning snack....
Breakfast
and regular coffee with milk. Today's cereal was Flax Plus Red Berry
Crunch.
Friday, May 23, 2008
Dinner, slightly too large
night's shish taouk plates, half a whole wheat roll with a fair amount
of the regular chicken salad from our local pret a manger, and about 5
sausage rolls (should have had 2 or less but they're irresistible).
Breakfast, Lunch & Snack
Mid-morning: Double espresso.
Lunch: Lemon and herb chicken with crispy noodles and salad. A very
light meal.
Afternoon snack: Cafe latte, 2% milk. Later on, three clementines
and a handful of mixed nuts.

Good day today
appropriate portion of Optimum Power with 1% milk, a spoonful of cod
liver oil, and regular coffee with milk.
Mid-morning snack: Cafe au lait, 2% milk.
Lunch: Roasted tilapia, coriander and charred tomato sandwich on
baguette with coleslaw (non-creamy). Not a huge serving but not small
either.
Afternoon snack: Cafe au lait, 2% milk.
Dinner: Three small super tasty home-made beef burritos (I should
have had 2), and about 6 little round nachos. A fairly big meal, 2
burritos would have been an average size meal. A fair bit of
guacamole and sour cream although I cut back on the 3rd burrito.

Dinner
Dinner was linguini with roasted red peppers, mushrooms and shrimp in
a basil cream sauce. This was a fairly large serving that I reduced
by eating all of the shrimp and mushrooms but only about 2/3rds of the
pasta. Still felt quite full after the meal.
Breakfast & Lunch
derivative thereof with 1% milk, a spoonful of cod liver oil, and
regular coffee with milk.
Lunch: Chicken and asparagus stir fry served with fried rice. Not a
very large portion. After lunch I had about 6 or 7 almonds and a cafe
au lait, 2% milk, my second of the day.

Breakfast and a big lunch
Lunch was quite large, we went to Baton Rouge. I ordered an oriental chicken salad which came with quite a lot too much dressing, and ate about half of it. I also had about a third of my wife's cheeseburger, three pieces of cheese garlic bread, and a few French fries.
